We loved the convenience of Aheste restaurant being just a stone's throw away, meeting all our needs during our stay here.

Location - very easy to find, just in the cente of Istanbul, Taksim, near to all Metro/bus/tramway stations. Hotel staff was very warm and gentle, communicative and helpful when needed to get some particular directions or what to visit in Istanbul. In general, we enjoyed it!
Breakfast was good, but could be better (e.g. no fruits served except some old oranges)

The location was even better than we've expected - right around the corner from Istiklar street, with clubs and bars in 3 min walk - which is great, as you don't need to take taxi, but rather have a safe and close trip to the hotel. As this near the shops and clubs area, it's alive all night, so very safe, the noise not disturbing at the hotel though. Room was nice. There is no great view from the windows, but it's not a problem.Very easy access to Galata bridge from where you can take a metro to Sultanahmet. Couldn't think of a more convenient location, really.
Breakfast was poor - but anyway I would recommend not to eat at the hotel, but use the opportunity and go out to the friendly and deilcious open-air cafes.

Best price. Atmosphere of the hotel lobby is excellent and toilets at the lobby was perfectly clean.
1. We could not checked in at the specified time. We arrived at the hotel at 9am and receptionist told that we could check in at 10:00am and the previous visitors had already left. We went for a walk and when we returned at 11am, receptionist told that they gave the room to someone else and we wait for another hour to check in. 2. We booked a 3 person room, but the third bed was a couch with a broken leg. Worst bed I have ever seen. 3. We didnt like the breakfast and eat at one of the better cafes on the istiklal street.

The place is clam and comfortable. It's near the bus station and also close to the metro station. Close to the hotel, there is a good supermarket DIA SA with reasonable prices.

The Hotel is located in a great area of Istanbul. The room in wich I have stayed matched the advertise. Also, besides other Istanbul hotels, there is some space in the street to park your car.
About the staff I can say that nobody speaks good English. One would expect that at least the Front Desk Staff should speak English at a decent levelNot at Bistrol Hotel. The problem occured when I've tried to check out.I had already paid for the room to a guy at Front Desk in the previous day.I asked for receipt, but he said they can give me receipt only the following day.(Don't ask me why but is not OK).The next day, checkout day, there was another guy at front desk who couldn't say 3 words in English.I' ve tried to explain to him that I have already paid for the room(300 euro). He was listening to me, he was smiling at me, he was nodding and all he could say was:"Ok, you pay and you go" :( Finally after 1/2 of hour he discovered his mistake

The location of the hotel is perfect. The staff is friendly and did their best to make our stay pleasant. The rooms need to be renovated. At the moment they are rather dirty. Breakfast could also be better.
